I travel the world, eat in 4 star to side walk cafes, but this is establishment! I wouldn't feed my dog that food.
Great food, great service. I had Gus' Famous Ribs and they were delicious. My boyfriend had the Kalamari dinner, it was cooked perfectly.
Definitely don't forget the fried cheese (Saganaki) appetizer.
The food was not bad, but everything was too salty and there seemed to be very little care or flair put into the preparation. The prices ($20 for the roast lamb, $18 for the chicken souvlaki) were too high for the mediocre quality. They didn't take American Express, either.
I am not sure about the bad reviews,I have traveled all over north america and have eaten in a lot of restaurants.I would have to say they make the best calamari i have eaten any where.there pasta and steak dishes are cook to perfection every time.I would have to say the service is lacking a bit.
I thought the food was delicious! Greek food is typically more tasty (some may say salty) because of the lemon juice on the potatoes and feta cheese, tsatsiki sauce. If you don't like that sort of taste then you maybe don't prefer Greek. I looooove Greek food and it was prepared and served very well. My son-in-law loves calamari and he has eaten it many times at other restaurants...he said it was the best he has ever had!
Lunch at Dorian's is one of my favorites! Service is great and you can't beat what you get for $10 bux, plus I like that they don't put onions in their salad at lunch. The Kalamari is soooooo tender and the Lamb is tasty & moist.
Best calamari ever! and lots of it. Generous portions of authentic tasty greek delights. Lunch or supper, true value for your dinning dollars. And when's the last time the proprietor asked you how you enjoyed your meal and cared to hear the answer. He knew what the answer was before he asked because Dorians serves up real fine Greek food! Being new to Vernon, I was delighted to find this restaurant.
Forced tip of 15% was ridiculous. Waitress served us drinks we didnt order. Waited 30+ minutes for a drink order to even be taken. Portions were weak. Left still hungry and paid 100 bucks for 2 people. Chicken souvlaki was dry and under seasoned. Portions were small compared to kamloops minos and kamloops dorians which have huge portions! My aunt was asked to pay for the portions of tip others in the group didnt leave. Will never eat their again. If i pay 100 bucks for a meal i expect to leave full and be happy with service. Dont do it guys. They are so not number 1 kamloops is way better.
